The Wanderer

Many a bemused walker, pony, and the occasional farmer, have heard me singing the praises of The Wanderer as I roam the land here. A figure who was awakened in me by an encounter with Wagner, many years before I learnt that the stories weren’t just stories.

Except for his staff (from a tree that whispered to me of Yggdrasil) he is carved from a solid ash stump from a tree in our garden blighted by ash dieback. I am still working with the medicine that the tree who connects the nine realms is being stripped from our woodlands.

Gemstone inlayed, including a Hawk’s Eye sphere, and set on 2 pieces of granite from the land here, one carved and inlayed as Mímisbrunnr.

An offering to The Wanderer, with eternal gratitude for his guidance those times that I lost the path.
