of everything. Recording

of everything.

On the pathless path,
soul cap in hand,
we seek the winter King

We’ve offered time to falling,
leaves from trees,
birds from the North

This one has died
as the stooped and lilting fern,
live in her root below view

Hearth smoke warps
from the freshly pointed chimney,
attaining stillness in the mustering mist

Lumber fat doors
sing on grease poor hinges,
raven eyes flame an even evergreen

The King -
silver pence pieces
holding breath beneath the ice skin

Raven -
barking how lye
can strip a name to snow

While the dusk oak dissolves,
trunk to limb to branch to twig,
into the mauve and tangerine sky

of everything.
